Customers in Maryland are required to work with a Participating Contractor in the EmPOWER Contractor Network, in order to qualify for rebates for the purchase and installation of high-efficiency natural gas equipment for home heating, water heating and appliances. Your Participating Contractor will submit your rebate application on your behalf.  Find a Participating Contractor that meets your needs

Already have a contractor? Ask them to join the EmPOWER Contractor Network. To qualify for rebates, your equipment must be installed by a participating contractor. For questions, please contact us at 1-833-286-0860.


Participating Contractors with an application for equipment installed before April 2019 should continue with the rebate application here.  If the customer is submitting the application or you are not a Participating Contractor, please fill out the paper application form and email the application to WashGasResidential@icf.com. You can also mail it to the address on the form.
 


Announcement: Washington Gas has made a commitment to lend extra support to residential customers in Maryland by increasing Existing Home rebates by 15% now until December 1, 2020.

To submit a rebate application, you must be a Participating Contractor in the EmPOWER Contractor Network for the Washington Gas Maryland Existing Home Program. Not a Participating Contractor and interested in offering these rebates to your customers? Find out more and apply here.

Note that the application system will log you out after 45 minutes of inactivity. You can save your application as you go. To submit a complete application, please be prepared to upload:

  1. Completed Terms & Conditions Form, signed by the customer
  2. Signed Customer Invoice, with contractor company name and address; manufacturer, model, and serial number of installed equipment; installation date and address; and total amount paid
  3. A recent Washington Gas bill (optional)
  4. Completed Payment Release Authorization Form (optional)

By submitting the complete application online, the rebate check will be approved sooner, but we will also accept paper applications that use our paper application form. The mailing address for paper applications is on the form.
